Captain Gord and Chef /First Mate Ginny
Gord and Ginny Kerr are an adventurous and energetic couple who hail from British Columbia, Canada. In 2003 they set sail for a 9-year world circumnavigation that encompassed over 80,000 coastal and offshore miles. Having experienced many unique and diverse cultures around the world, they decided to settle in the beautiful British Virgin Island. Since 2010 Gord and Ginny have enjoyed working very successfully as Captain and Chef on various charter boats in the BVI, sharing their enthusiasm for one of their most favorite travel destinations.
Gord has been around boats his entire life and holds his RYA 200-gross ton offshore Yachtmaster (MCA commercially endorsed). An avid sailing competitor, Gord has won numerous distance and offshore races. Prior to his global circumnavigation, Gord had a diverse background, ranging from CYA Sailing Instructor, professional Quarter Horse Trainer, movie stunt actor to Government Program Manager. As a PADI Divemaster, the sea is Gord’s home and sailing is his favorite way to explore it. Gord is fun-loving and enthusiastic and his skill, professionalism and attention to detail promise to ensure an enjoyable and safe sailing vacation.
Ginny is a competent sailor and certified by the Canadian Yachting Association. Her passion for boating is matched by her enthusiasm for cooking and entertaining. Ginny’s extensive travels has given her an appreciation for international cuisine and inspired her creativity of recipes, styles and tastes from around the world. From her training at various culinary schools, she loves to apply her artistic flare to fresh native ingredients that add local flavor to her dishes. A graduate of the Alberta College of Art, Ginny also had a diverse background, including owning a Catering business, being the Graphic Art Technician manager for a major publishing company and training and showing horses for 20 years. She is a PADI certified diver and loves all outdoor activities.

Thandi, our stew, brings 16 year’s experience in the hospitality, bartending and silver service industry. Formerly Chief Stewardess on the Necker Belle, she has her RYA Powerboat Level 2, ENG1 Medical, and training at the Matthew Kenney raw food academy.
Juno, our Deckhand / Engineer has years of experience on such superyachts as M/Y “Alfa Nero” (269 Ft yacht), Juno has his MCA ENG-1 Medical Certificate, POWERBOAT LEVEL 2, MPT, RYA PERSONAL WATERCRAFT SAFEYY, Watch Keeping for Seafarers Certification and Approved Engineering Certification.
